Happy belated HALLOWEEN!!!

Dear Mom and Dad,
I know that I am now your slacker daughter and I am sorry, but always know that I am the best blonde, youngest, daughter ever and you wouldn't ask for anything more or less. ;o) just kidding. Really I am sorry for now just posting about Halloween and the month of October. I have been a slacker that is always tired and should be doing homework, but am not. So really my only excuse is that I have just been lazy. So once again I am sorry and I am not going to say that I will do better becuase maybe if I don't say that than I might actually do better. We'll see I guess. Alrighty than ENJOY!

These are just some random pictures that we took yesterday and now that I think about it I think I have other ones to post, so I promise that I will do that oh and I still need to post pictures of Sydnee's birthday that I got from Vern's camera so I will do that also today. Anyway I just need to tell a funny story about Dawson. A couple of days ago Dawson pooped and came up to me pointing at his diaper with a disgusted look on his face, so I being a good mother (sometimes) changed his diaper and while I was changing his diaper I just kept saying "Did you poop Dawson?" Well maybe about 20 minutes after I changed his first poopie diaper he pooped again, but this time he came up to me with a diaper and package of wipes and said "I poop, I poop, I poop.." over and over again. It was so funny and cute that I went to go get the camera to record it, but of course as soon as I got the camera in front of him he froze and refused to repeat himself. Oh well just know that is was really cute. Syd and Dawson are quite the characters. They make us laugh and frustrated all at the same time. My house is never as clean or organized like I want it be, and dinner is not always ready when Brandon comes home from work or school, but everyday I have a smile on face becuase I have these two to entertain me and make me laugh. Dawson loves to wrestle with his sister. He loves, loves, loves to cuddle and give kisses. He's becoming quite the clown and just laughs at himself everytime. He so funny and goofy and we love him so much!! Sydnee is very dramatic and sometimes very unpredictable, but she is also so kind and loves her brother. She is so imaginative and loves to play. She loves preschool and is learning a lot from it. We love Sydnee so much and are so grateful for her spirit. One thing that is always saying is that she loves Jesus and she tells us all the time that "Jesus lives in Heaven with Heavenly Father and he is in the castle called the Temple." We are truly a blessed family.

For one of Sydnee's preschool field trips we went to a local corn maze and pumpkin patch. It was cute and the kids loved it. Syd was a little scared of the corn maze at first, but then she saw some of her friends and then all was well. She picked out a little pumpkin for her and Dawson and they carried it around everywhere with them. Syd also loved being able to sit on the "Big train" which is the big tractor. It was a fun family activity.

For Halloween this year Sydnee really wanted to be Tinker Bell and Dawson Peter Pan. So my sister Jami made Syd's Tinker Bell costume while I made Dawson his Peter Pan costume. Sydnee loved it and she still talking about going trick or treating and wearing her costume. The both were so cute and it was so fun. Thanks Jami for all your help. Oh we got the pattern from the make-it-love-it site on my side bar. She is so amazing! October was a lot of fun. We went to a friends halloween party that was just for the adults and it was a BLAST. I loved it. I dressed up as a witch and Brandon was my broomstick. ;o) We had an amazing dinner and dessert, we sang karoke, played some way fun games, and just enjoy the company of some amazing people. THank you Lindsey and Logan for and awesome night! Stay tuned because I will be posting more!

A buck makes it all worth it!

Well 5:00 a.m. rolls around this morning and Brandon's alarm goes off and I was not a happy camper because I kept waking up during the night, but of course Brandon is ready and rearing to go. I on the other hand kept reminding myself that I bought a deer tag and I didn't want to waste the money. I got up and headed towards Rockland Idaho to go hunting with Brandon, his Dad (Vern), and his brother Radlee. It started out as a pretty good hike, nothing too bad, but then it started to rain and right off the bat we got soaked. So we waited under a tree while Brandon headed back to get to school. We waited under the tree for quite awhile until the rain stopped for at least a little while and started to head down to the valley a little. Radlee walked up a little to try and scare any deer that could be in the brush and trees, while Vern and I headed down on the other side of Radlee. Then all of a sudden I looked over and I was sure I saw something so I hit Vern in the arm and said "Vern is that a deer does it have horns? Quick get your binoculars!" I was so excited and nervous all at the same time. And sure enough it was a buck. We had no idea how big it was because it was laying down with the butt towards us and his head turned around looking right at us. So Vern and I got down and he helped me figure out where to focus to shoot him and I shot. I got him the first shot but only wounded him. I broke his leg and it went through his gut. He got up and ran so I shot two more times and missed then he layed down under a tree with the brush in front of him and at first we couldn't see him but we knew he couldn't have gone too far because his leg was broken. Then we spotted him and got down again and he was laying down looking straight at us. I aimed for his head and shot him right in the throat. It was so awesome, but we still didn't know what size I got until Radlee went up to it and he started cheering and said that it is huge. I really don't know what huge is, but all I do know is that it was a 4 point buck with a 23 3/4 inch spread and Brandon is so proud of me. And to be honest I am pretty proud of myself because I was borrowing my Dad's .243 rifle and I think the last time I shot it was when I was 12 and the last time I actually shot a gun was right after Brandon and I got married and we only shot at pop cans. Anyway I had a lot of fun even though we got soaked and that I got it at the beginning of the season so now I'm done and I don't need to try and find a baby sitter every weekend. Thanks to everyone who helped out and thanks again Dad for letting me borrow your gun and taking such good care of it and sighting it in for me. Love ya all!

Update

Yes, once again a fell behind. I know I need to do so much better and I get reminded everyday. I can actually say I have a decent excuse now. (kind of anyway). I decided to go back to school after almost 4 years of not going to any type of school. I'm only taking 6 credits because I needed to ease myself back into the whole school thing. Brandon and I have worked it out where he is home when I have class and I am home the rest of the day. It's been busy because on Monday and Wednesdays Syd has speech therapy in the morning while Brandon has school. On Tuesday and Thursdays I have school while Brandon drops Syd off to preschool, then after my class I go and pick her up and I also have class Tuesday and thursday nights. Fridays are really my only free days. It is working out really well so far. I am loving school so far and Dawson is such a trooper because he spends most of his mornings in the car hanging out. Brandon is doing really well with school so far also. He did have a mountain bike accident that messed up his shoulder and he is still recovering from that since it has been over a month. We bought a Chrysler town and country which we love so far. We weren't too excited to get a minivan at first, but it has been a blessing. That gas is pretty good and the room is AWESOME!! Brandon also got a Geo Tracker for his four wheeling and hunting needs. He loves it and has been fun to go four wheeling in it as a family. The kids love riding in it without the top on. Let's see what else has happened. Brandon is in the process of applying for PA schools which is stressful and really exciting. Live is really good and busy, but we are loving it. Well it is actually getting really late and I am starting to not focus so for now I am going to say goodnight and until next time. Oh and scroll down because I put a ton of pictures and posts on so enjoy!

Dawson

Dawson is not our chill little boy anymore. Somedays I dream about how he used to just sit around content to watch everything and everyone around him. Well those days are mostly gone. He is such a busy boy! He loves to climb anything within his reach. He gets in everything which makes it extra hard to keep my apartment clean becuase I turn around and there is a brand new mess or one that I just cleaned up. I seriously don't remember Sydnee being this crazy into everything. He is so much fun though and so sweet and cuddly. He is doing better with his sleeping at night which is an answer to a prayer. He is a biter so we have to really watch and disciplin him if he does bite. He has four teeth on top, four teeth on bottom, and one molar on top also. This kid also eats like a champ and will eat anything and everyting, He will sometimes out eat me and defiantly out eats Sydnee becuase she doesn't really eat. She's just picky. Dawson says: Go, daddy, mommy, uh-oh, Yd (Syd), hi, want, and every once in awhile throws a few more words in there. He can throw fits, but luckly hasn't figured out the thoughing himself back and on the floor thing yet. He is such a fun boy and his smile just melts you. The doctor was a little worried that Dawson has a wheat allergy becuase he lost a pound and that automatically calls for a blood tests, but this kids all the time and everything so we were kind of worried to, but luckly and thankfully he is just fine and doesn't have a food allergy. We do have to go in and reweigh him though. I think we are just made to have smaller kids. Well see though. I'm just grateful and we have healthy kids. We'll let you know the update.

Preschool!

Sydnee turned 3 in August and we do have picutres of her party, but we are just waited for them from Brandon's parents so I promise when we get those you will get a much more detailed post on it. Anyway becuase Syd is now three we decided to she was ready for Preschool. We were kind of nervous because we didn't know how she was handle getting dropped off to a new place with a teacher and students she didn't know. Well come to find out there was nothing to worry about becuase she absolutely LOVES it! She is so cute about it becuase since both Brandon and I are going to school she just thinks she is so grown-up becuase she gets to go to school too. Her teacher Miss April is awesome and we couldn't be more thrilled. These pictures were her second day of preschool and I couldn't resist taking a picture of my beautiful little girl. She knows she is cute too becuase she would look in the mirror all day if I would let her. We are in so much trouble. She likes to get dirty and have fun outside and play rough, but she is also such a girl and has to have her hair done with either a bow or a headband in her hair. She is also way fiesty, but also so sweet and very in tune with other's feelings. We really love her and are so grateful to have her. She also is a great older sister. She loves Dawson and gives him hugs and kisses 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time they are fighting, but they both get over it pretty fast. We are so proud of her. She is learning so much in Speech Therapy and loves Jacie her therapist. She is just growing up way too fast and is dynomite in a little package. Love ya Syd!

Future Fire Fighters?

After Carter's birthday party the kids and I went to where Brandon's Dad was stationed for work to pick Brandon up and I thought hey I bet the kids would love to get a tour of the fire trucks. And oh boy was I right. Paige was so fun and cute and kept asking questions about everything. She even let Vern put a fire uniform on her. She was a little weary about it at first but loved it at the end. Syd and Austin would have nothing to with that, but Dawson couldn't care either way so we put him in the boots. Vern was so awesome to give the kids a full on tour of the truck and showed them was was in every compartment. They saw the lights on top and they even got to sit in the front in the drivers seat. They was were so cute and so fun. Austin was super tired so he didn't say much, but I know he had fun, Dawson and Bryn were such troopers and were so good about it. Sydnee was so funny and had something to say about everything and thought she was pretty funny and would just laugh at herself. Silly little girl. Thanks Vern for a fun tour!

Sweet Carter's 1st B-day

Carter turned one this month and we had the opportunity to go to Twin an celebrate his birthday him and his cute little family. It was so fun and such an adventure. Brandon and I were able to take Paige, Austin, and Bryn, plus of course Sydnee and Dawson with us to Carter's Birthday party. We love having a Van now because we get to have opportunities like this. The kids did awesome as we traveled down there and they did so well the whole day. We loved having them with us! Anyway I decided to make Carter a few onesies which was so much fun and really easy. My friend Lindsey let me come over to her house and make them there. She actually drew the guitar for me. They turned out so stinkin cute for being my first ones. I know Carter will look so handsome in them. I just can't wait to make some for Dawson and some shirts for Sydnee. Thanks Lance and Bekah for a great and fun filled day!! We love you guys and can't wait to see you again!

I also loved how Dawson and Carter figured out how to share Carter's new toy. It was so fun to watch Cater push Dawson and Dawson to sitting there and enjoying it!

Cuddles

Dawson is such a sweet cuddley little baby boy and loves to give hugs to people especially his sister and other kids. It just melts my heart. One day Dawson woke up from his morning nap and Syd as you can tell was super tired because she just decided to lay there on the floor while I went to get Dawson from their room. I was also getting Syd ready for her nap. Anyway I got Dawson and he was still trying to wake up to I set him on the floor and he saw Sydnee and crawled over to her and just layed his sweet little head on her tummy and gave her a hug. All the while she was rubbing his back and hair. They stayed like this for about 20 minutes or so. I just sat there and hopefully like all mothers would do in this situation got teary eyed and thought to myself how grateful I am to be a mother and have an eternal family. It was just the moment I needed at that time. Even though at times I want to pull my hair out and scream into a pillow becuase I get tired and frustrated it's moments like these that take all that frustration away and reminds me how great my life really is. I have two beautiful healthy children that love eachother and loves me. I have the true gospel and belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that I know with all my heart is true. I have a husband that is a worthy priesthood holder that loves our Savior and is an amazing father and husband. I have forever friends and family that are amazing examples and strengths to me. I really have it all. And I know that our Heavenly Father and Savior have such a special plan for me and my family. I am so grateful to be alive at this time and day in age. It's moments like these that reminds me of all that I have. It's moments like these that gets me going each and every day and lets me know that I am loved!

Dawson turns 1!

Don't mind my face in this picture because to be quite honest with you I have no idea what kind of face that was. oh Well.

Dawson turned one in July. It was such a fun day. I decided to make my first fondent cake for his birthday. I had some amazing friends come over and help me which was awesome because without them I probably wouldn't have gotten everything done so thank you thank you Katie and Lindsey. The cake turned out ok for being my first time. The party was a lot of fun. We had some friends and family come to the park and we had pizza, cake, cupcakes, and icecream. Dawson I think was so full from eating a hole slice of pizza and some pasta salad that he really didn't touch his cake or icecream too much, but that's ok because it was the look on his face when that cake was put in front of him that made it all worth making. We wished my mom, dad, lance and his family, kolby and his family, and Jackson and Rachel could have been that, but we understand and missed you guys. Thanks to all those who came. I just can't believe Dawson is one and crazy as ever!

Fishing

One fun adventure that we did as a family this summer was go fishing. Brandon and I both bought fishing/hunting licenses this year. Brandon and I will be going to deer hunting this year which I am actually really excited about. We might make it an overnighter without kids so I am really excited about that. We'll see though. This kids actually did really well with the fishing adventure. Dawson was pretty tired and wanted to dive in the water and eat the fishing lure, but we decided to go against that. He's such a stinker. Sydnee was so excited to finally use the fishing pole that Grandpa Nebeker gave her for her first birthday two years ago. I can't wait to go again next year when the kids are little older and can really start to understand. It was a very fun filled day with no fish, but we got to spend it together and even had a picnic.
