Dawson is getting way to big for being our baby. He is actually still not that big in weight considering he only weighs 23 pounds and is a little short stack, but he thinks he is so big. He talks really well for being 21 months. He says: bike, I silly, that funny, Syd (for Sydnee), doggy, Yeah, uh uh for no, ouchy, mommy, mom, daddy, dad, sorry, where my mommy, my mommy, toy, bed, binky, look, please, mine, yuck, duck, ok, blanket, why, bad guy (which he learned from his sister), this, "tank you" for thank you, "here go" for here you go, hey, outside, baby, he loves to bark like and dog and act like one which way too cute, I know he says a few more words, but it's way too late to remember all of them. He is so sweet to babies and wants to give all babies hugs and kisses and tries to hold them. He loves and adores his uncles and aunts. He doesn't really understand other's personal space, but luckily most people don't mind. He is defiantly our cuddle bug. He is so silly and lets everyone know it. People can't get enough of how cute he really is. He is although going through the separation anxiety stage right now and that isn't always fun for nursery, but he usually stops crying after a couple of minutes after we leave. He is such a mommy's boy and sometimes I love it and other times I need a break from it, but good thing he absolutely loves his daddy too. Dawson is also obsessed with cars. He has to have some type of car with at all time. He sleeps, eats, and even bathes with his cars. He is so funny and particular with his cars and where and how he puts them. If you move his cars from the way he had them he lets you know by yelling and you saying "Hey no" and his eyes are so expressive when he gets mad. He cracks us up. I just can't believe that our baby will be two in July. We love him so much and he brings us so much joy in our lives.
WE started putting Dawson in time out a few months ago and he does pretty well with it. He crys, but he stays in there until he is happy and stops crying then he'll come out on his own and then he comes up to us and says sorry. It's hilarious when he is time out because he looks to small and sad. But it makes us laugh.
WE put Dawson in a twin bed when he turned 17 months. I know that sounds early, but he refused to sleep in his crib, so we took it down so we could have more space and he loves his bed. He has only fallen off of it twice so he does pretty good. He sleeps so much better in it then he did in his crib. What a funny kid.
