Girls Rock!

Oh my sweet Sydnee. She is getting so big and so smart. She makes us laugh everyday, with all her crazy dancing all the funny things she says, and the way she and Dawson play together. Syd loves going outside to ride her bike and go hiking at the park with all the rocks. She loves preschool and her teacher is amazing and helps her so much. She is still in speech therapy and is improving, but they are still trying to correct the way she says somethings because she heard words said wrong for so long before she got tubes in her ears, but she is defianltly improving. She dances and sings ALL THE TIME and I love it because it gives me an excuse to join right in with her. She is such a good little girl. We do have some issues with her, but she is getting so much better with her little tantrums that she was known to throw at times. She is all girl that's for sure. She loves anything princess and especially Rapunzal from Tangled. She loves to give hugs and kisses which I can't get enough of. Sydnee is really a sweet little girl and we are so grateful for her sweet little spirit in our home.

Syd in her Easter dress that she can twirl and do all the dancing her little heart desires.

Syd was being silly and really wanted me to take pictures of her so I did and I am so glad that I did because she was so funny and so darn cute!

Daddy wanted to teach Syd how to shoot a gun and she loved it! I guess it's never too early to start in this family,

Yah for boys!

Dawson is getting way to big for being our baby. He is actually still not that big in weight considering he only weighs 23 pounds and is a little short stack, but he thinks he is so big. He talks really well for being 21 months. He says: bike, I silly, that funny, Syd (for Sydnee), doggy, Yeah, uh uh for no, ouchy, mommy, mom, daddy, dad, sorry, where my mommy, my mommy, toy, bed, binky, look, please, mine, yuck, duck, ok, blanket, why, bad guy (which he learned from his sister), this, "tank you" for thank you, "here go" for here you go, hey, outside, baby, he loves to bark like and dog and act like one which way too cute, I know he says a few more words, but it's way too late to remember all of them. He is so sweet to babies and wants to give all babies hugs and kisses and tries to hold them. He loves and adores his uncles and aunts. He doesn't really understand other's personal space, but luckily most people don't mind. He is defiantly our cuddle bug. He is so silly and lets everyone know it. People can't get enough of how cute he really is. He is although going through the separation anxiety stage right now and that isn't always fun for nursery, but he usually stops crying after a couple of minutes after we leave. He is such a mommy's boy and sometimes I love it and other times I need a break from it, but good thing he absolutely loves his daddy too. Dawson is also obsessed with cars. He has to have some type of car with at all time. He sleeps, eats, and even bathes with his cars. He is so funny and particular with his cars and where and how he puts them. If you move his cars from the way he had them he lets you know by yelling and you saying "Hey no" and his eyes are so expressive when he gets mad. He cracks us up. I just can't believe that our baby will be two in July. We love him so much and he brings us so much joy in our lives.

WE started putting Dawson in time out a few months ago and he does pretty well with it. He crys, but he stays in there until he is happy and stops crying then he'll come out on his own and then he comes up to us and says sorry. It's hilarious when he is time out because he looks to small and sad. But it makes us laugh.

WE put Dawson in a twin bed when he turned 17 months. I know that sounds early, but he refused to sleep in his crib, so we took it down so we could have more space and he loves his bed. He has only fallen off of it twice so he does pretty good. He sleeps so much better in it then he did in his crib. What a funny kid.

Soda Springs!!!

In January some of my most amazing friends and I went to Soda Springs where one of my friends grew up for a girl overnighter. It was a much needed and energizing time. When we first got there Ashley took us to see and try the natural springs that we could drink from and we also brought some back to the house and put some crystal light in it and it was divine. So good! We also went to see the only man made geyser in Idaho. It went off I believe every hour and was actually really cool and went pretty high. After all the excitment on the tour we went back to the house and had an amazing dinner and then went off to lava hot springs, which felt amazing on the body. We then came back and stayed up way too late playing awesome and fun games and watching a movie. It was an amazing time spending it with some very special women in my life. Thank you too all you fantastic women who made that weekend unforgettable. Thank you to our husbands for taking care of our children and letting us getting a way for a few hours. WE love you all!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas this year we spent in Kimberly with Brandon's family. It was a lot of fun and really enjoyable. All of Brandon's brothers were there and my two new sister-in-laws (welcome to the family Sara and Rachel!). I was sick with really bad stomach flu the Thursday before Christmas so we weren't sure if we were going to be able to make down there, but luckily it was only a rough 24 hour bug. We made it down there on Christmas Eve and it seemed that almost everyone was either already sick or just got over from being sick so we were quite the bunch :o) It was alot of fun and we all got spoiled. I can't even list off everything that we got. Brandon got me a GPS which I love and I got him a pair of pants, a awesome shirt, and a new razor which he desperately needed. The were spoiled by everyone. My mom and dad got us this beautiful and amazing children's primary book that is really unique and tells you the history of the songs with beautiful illustrations so thank you mom and dad! It was a truly an awesome Christmas and fun! Thank you everyone for the great couple of days. We love you all and we hope your Christmas was special and had a great time with the ones you love.

Decorating for Christmas

For Family Home Evening we decorated the Christmas tree. Dawson was sick that day so he went to bed early so it was just Sydnee, Brandon, and I. It was so much fun. Sydnee absolutely loved every minute. She was so cute. We let her decorate the bottom of the tree with the decorations that weren't breakable or could get ruined (so we thought). Dawson, that little stinker figured out how to get to decorations that were somewhat edible and tried to eat others that were not edible. so more than half of the decorations got thrown away and so not even half of our tree ended up decorated. I wish I would have taken a picture of the tree before we took it down to prove how pathetic our tree ended up looking. It was truly sad.
I Love this time of year. I love the smells, the lights, the fun activities, but most of all the spirit that is felt all around. This is truly the giving season. I wish I was more like those people that are truly amazing with service. I admire and love those men and women like that and I hope that I will be better by their example and light. Christmas is truly the season and reminder of our Saviors birth and I am so grateful for that reminder. I learned a lot this season and it has made me a better person so watch out new year a new Kandra is coming full of service and gratitude. Thank you to all those who made the year of 2010 so special and wonderful. I love you all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Fun in the first snow

We woke up one morning to snow. Not a lot of it, but enough to go out and enjoy our first snow of the season. Sydnee was so excited and loved every minute. Dawson on the other hand was a little skeptical of it. He liked it, but couldn't quite figure out how to walk in those darn snow boots so he kept falling and it was so cute and funny. Brandon helped make a snowman, but it was a naked snowman because it got destroyed and kicked down before we could put anything thing on it. Oh well it wouldn't have lasted either way with all the older kids we have that live in these apartments. We had such a great day that day. It was such a fun family day and it was actually pretty warm. the pictures are pretty self explanatory so enjoy!

My kiddos

Dawson is so silly and funny. He makes us laugh all the time all day long. He is into everything and does everything. Dawson loves to talk and give anybody hugs a kisses. The kisses are not always the slobbery free, but they are so sincere. :o) Dawson will throw anything away in the garabage if you ask him to and even if you don't ask him to. Things keep coming up missing so I am pretty sure he as thrown many things away and we haven't realized it. What a stinker. Dawson is our very good eater. He will eat almost anything that you give to him and he is always eating all day. And yet he only weighs about 21 pounds. We wonder where it all goes. We started time out with him a while ago and he know he is in trouble and sits in that corner for one minutes and just cries and runs his little finger up and down the corner and it is so funny to listen to him becuase he's mostly just fake crying, but hey he stays in there and knows exactly where to go. Dawson is loves his coat and loves wearing it all day long and gets mad when we try and take it off. It's amazing how much he understands from us. When we ask him to go get his socks and shoes he will get the socks and most of the time the matching pair of shoes. He loves to talk. The words he says are;
"I fall
"ball"
"I want"
"UH-OH!"
mommy, mom, momma,
dad, daddy, dadda,
no
want
go
"ood" = food
he signs more and says more and signs please most of the time anyway.
He is defiantyly our goofball and he is so sweet with other people. He'll go to most anybody even though he is becoming a little more picky with that, but he is so helpful and loves to clean up toys and books. He love to sit down in is littl recliner chair and look at book and he loves sitting on Daddy's lap everynight when he reads scriptures. He enterains himself pretty well, but also loves to have lots of attention especially when your laughing at something he is doing. He does throw some pretty good fits, but he gets over them pretty fast. He is constantly hitting his head on something, but most of the time he just laughs about it. Just yesterday I put a towel over his head and he thought that was awesome so I told him to go show daddy who was in the kitchen and he totally ran into the wall and fell back and almost hit the couch and I couldn't help but laugh and he got right back up and put the towel back on and went to show daddy laughing the whole time. It was classic. We are so bless to have Dawson in out little family. We love him so much!

Sydnee is such a sweet little girl that is so so so so dramatic. She is such a girl is everyway. She loves to dance, sing, and be a "Princess". She makes us laugh and cry all at the sametime. She love to try new things to do. She is still our very picky eater, but I pray everyday that she will grow out of the very soon. Syd loves preschool and speech therapy. She gets to start sunbeams this up coming Sunday and she is so excited. I think she will do really well. Like I said Sydnee is very dramatic and sometimes very unpredictable. Sometimes is almost frightening not know for sure how she will react. The old waves tell says "Terrible Two", but I think it is the age of three. Oh my goodness we have some major fits in the house and other places. But the sweetness and good times outway those fits. She really is so sweet and so in tunes with other peoples feelings. She absolutely loves Dawson. They do fight, but for the most part they play pretty well together. Sydnee does really will dogs now which not too long ago she was terrified of almost any animal, but now loves almost all animals, which is a huge improvement for those who really know her. She loves to play with other kids and does really well them. She is such an amazing little girl and we can't wait to see how her personality blooms and figure out how to handle all her craziness and moods. :o) We are so bless to have her in our lives and love her so much!

Syd and Dawson are so sweet together and love eachother so much!

Happy belated HALLOWEEN!!!

Dear Mom and Dad,
I know that I am now your slacker daughter and I am sorry, but always know that I am the best blonde, youngest, daughter ever and you wouldn't ask for anything more or less. ;o) just kidding. Really I am sorry for now just posting about Halloween and the month of October. I have been a slacker that is always tired and should be doing homework, but am not. So really my only excuse is that I have just been lazy. So once again I am sorry and I am not going to say that I will do better becuase maybe if I don't say that than I might actually do better. We'll see I guess. Alrighty than ENJOY!

These are just some random pictures that we took yesterday and now that I think about it I think I have other ones to post, so I promise that I will do that oh and I still need to post pictures of Sydnee's birthday that I got from Vern's camera so I will do that also today. Anyway I just need to tell a funny story about Dawson. A couple of days ago Dawson pooped and came up to me pointing at his diaper with a disgusted look on his face, so I being a good mother (sometimes) changed his diaper and while I was changing his diaper I just kept saying "Did you poop Dawson?" Well maybe about 20 minutes after I changed his first poopie diaper he pooped again, but this time he came up to me with a diaper and package of wipes and said "I poop, I poop, I poop.." over and over again. It was so funny and cute that I went to go get the camera to record it, but of course as soon as I got the camera in front of him he froze and refused to repeat himself. Oh well just know that is was really cute. Syd and Dawson are quite the characters. They make us laugh and frustrated all at the same time. My house is never as clean or organized like I want it be, and dinner is not always ready when Brandon comes home from work or school, but everyday I have a smile on face becuase I have these two to entertain me and make me laugh. Dawson loves to wrestle with his sister. He loves, loves, loves to cuddle and give kisses. He's becoming quite the clown and just laughs at himself everytime. He so funny and goofy and we love him so much!! Sydnee is very dramatic and sometimes very unpredictable, but she is also so kind and loves her brother. She is so imaginative and loves to play. She loves preschool and is learning a lot from it. We love Sydnee so much and are so grateful for her spirit. One thing that is always saying is that she loves Jesus and she tells us all the time that "Jesus lives in Heaven with Heavenly Father and he is in the castle called the Temple." We are truly a blessed family.

For one of Sydnee's preschool field trips we went to a local corn maze and pumpkin patch. It was cute and the kids loved it. Syd was a little scared of the corn maze at first, but then she saw some of her friends and then all was well. She picked out a little pumpkin for her and Dawson and they carried it around everywhere with them. Syd also loved being able to sit on the "Big train" which is the big tractor. It was a fun family activity.

For Halloween this year Sydnee really wanted to be Tinker Bell and Dawson Peter Pan. So my sister Jami made Syd's Tinker Bell costume while I made Dawson his Peter Pan costume. Sydnee loved it and she still talking about going trick or treating and wearing her costume. The both were so cute and it was so fun. Thanks Jami for all your help. Oh we got the pattern from the make-it-love-it site on my side bar. She is so amazing! October was a lot of fun. We went to a friends halloween party that was just for the adults and it was a BLAST. I loved it. I dressed up as a witch and Brandon was my broomstick. ;o) We had an amazing dinner and dessert, we sang karoke, played some way fun games, and just enjoy the company of some amazing people. THank you Lindsey and Logan for and awesome night! Stay tuned because I will be posting more!
