Announcing the arrival of Emery Tyce Plott

Our third sweet little angel was welcomed into this world and loving arms on February 1, 2012 at 5:45 am. He was our biggest baby yet weighing in at 8 pounds 4 ounces and 21 inches long. The labor and delivary was a whole 9 hours shorter then it was with both Sydnee and Dawson and it was quite easier. I went in for my regular doctos appointment on Tuesday morning Jan. 31st and my doctor and I decided that he would strip my membranes and get me induced later that night. After he stripped my membranes I started to feel my contractions getting a little more frequent, but little Emery was still really high, but at least my cervix was getting softer. I went into the hospital later that night at 6:00 and they gave me the first dose to induce me around 8:00. My contractions started to come a lot more frequent and stronger, but then 4 hours later they started to slow down so they gave me one more dose and right away I was feeling those contractions. I asked if they had a yoga ball I could sit on because I was feeling a ton of contraction in my back and I didn't want to lay down any more. I sat and rolled on the ball for about 15 to 20 minutes and I was dialated to a 2 by then and all of a sudden my water broke and went straight from a two to a four. They called the guy to give me an epidural and by the time he gave it too me I was dialated to a 6 and by that time it was 4:30ish am, I think. Brandon went back to sleep and I slept for a little bit until the nurse came in to check me and said I was dialated at an 8 and that she was going to call the doctor right away. I was not all there if you know what I am. That epidural was working wonders on me because they had me completely ready for the doctor and right when the doctor got there he barely had enough time to put his gloves on when they told me to push. Of course the nurse and Brandon had to help me hold my legs up. They were telling me I was doing a great job pushing and I asked them if I was even pushing becuase I COULD NOT FEEL A THING! I felt great! They told me on the next contraction to push really hard and I told them they were going to have to tell me when my next contraction was and they just laughed at me. Let me just say this, I cannot believe I went a whole 18 1/2 hours of hard labor with Sydnee with out any pain meds. What was I thinking? Anyway, after our little man was born they put him right on me and I instantly fell in love. They took him to get cleaned and weighed and right away I started to puke. Which is pretty normal right after giving birth until I puked every couple of minutes for a couple of hours. It was so annoying becuase I couldn't hold Emery for longer then a minute at a time. When I was nursing him I had to lean over several times to throw up. Once the throwing up slowed down and I was kind of able to walk we were moved into another room and we enjoyed our little Emery even more.
I just can't believe this little guy is already 10 days old. He is such a sweet perfect addition to our little family. He is so content (especially since my milk has come in). Sydnee and Dawson can't get enough of him. Everyday I am becoming more and more confident in myself to take care of and handle three kiddos. My mom has been such a big help and I am so grateful for her. Brandon is amazing and I don't know what I would do without him. He is such a loving and caring father and husband. I am so blessed and lucky to have him as my husband and best friend. I love my family more then i ever thought I could. Enjoy the pictures and I will get more up.

Life with three kids (so far)

Well it is day 5 of life with three kids and so far it is going pretty well. I have my emotional moments (like right now), my annoyed and impatient moments (with Sydnee and Dawson), and my energy moments(where all of a sudden I have the energy to clean). My mom is here with me until at least friday of this week and she has been amazing. I need to give her more credit and show more often how much I appreciate her. She takes so much crap from me I'm sure because I'm a little OCD and like things my way and I just need to let her help me and tell her how amazing she is and how grateful I am to have her here. My mom, Brandon, and my kids have been so patient with me these last few days with my emotional rollercoaster moments and I love them so much for it. It's amazing how much you forget when you have a kid. With each kid is different, but there are things that you really do forget. Like lack of sleep (thankfully my third trimesters prepare me for that), how much newborns want to eat and how many poopy diapers they like to suprise you with, and how newborns are just trying to get used to this new life outside of the womb and how much attention they need because of it. Little Emery is such a little miracle and blessing in our life and we are so grateful to have him, it's just an adjustment to having a newborn with two other little kiddos that want to smuther him at the most inconvient times (like while I am trying to nurse little baby Emery). It is amazing how much Sydnee and Dawson love little Emery. They are for the most part very soft with him and careful, but there are times that they love him a little too much and we need to be there with them at all times when Emery is around. Little Emery loves to eat and loves to be held. He is a very cuddly baby just like Syd and Dawson were and still are which I love. I am very grateful for my friend for letting me borrow her swing though because even though I love to cuddle with Emery and my kiddos, let's just face it, I have things I need to get done. Even though I would much rather cuddle them!
It is going to be interesting trying to figure out a schedule for me and my little ones. Adjusting to two kids wasn't that hard for me, but adjusting to three I'm kind of scared for. I know I can do it, but I am still scared. Any advice would be welcomed. I am however very grateful for the support that I have all around me from friends and family. I love knowing that if I need help with anything or I am in a bind I always have someone I can call. This go around though I am more apt to saying yes if someone asks if they can help me with something. I used to be so stubborn and said that I was fine and that if I needed anything I would let them know and I would never call them, but with baby number three I am more than accepting of people's offers to help.
Life is good and I love my kids so much and am so grateful to our Heavenly Father for trusting us with his beautiful children here on this earth. I love Brandon so much for trying to understand me and giving me hugs through the hard times and easy times. I am especially grateful for Brandon for loving me no matter what. He is so supportive and tells me how beautiful I am everyday and tells me that he loves me ALL THE TIME, and tells me how amazing I am for having three kids and being their mother. I make my mistakes way too often as a mother and yet my kids still tell me they love me and reach out to me when they are sad or in pain. What did I do to deserve the life that I have? I feel so blessed and loved right now and I couldn't ask for a better plan that our Heavenly Father has for me and my family. I may not know what is waiting for me in the future, but I do know that if I stay on the right track in this life, I have a kingdom waiting for me with my family and that is what is most important to me. I will get pictures up here soon I promise, but I just felt the need to say whatever was on my mind for this post and there might be more of these, so if you don't want to read them that is just find, but it makes me feel better and happier.

Trunk or Treat!!!

Our ward did a trunk or treat and there was a great turn out. Tons of people came and Syd and Dawson were walking on clouds with the sight of so much candy. Syd of course was Rapunzel and Dawson was a dinosaur that walked around saying "ROARRRRRRRRR". They both were so stinkin cute. We tried to find a little green chameleon costume for Dawson, but couldn't find one any where. Oh well he still looked way cute! Halloween was a success this year and we all had a great time!

Halloween Party

Sydnee was Rapunzel for Halloween this year and of course she took advantage of dressing like a princess. She was in heaven. Her preschool party was a success and all the volunteers did a great job with games and activities and treats. The kids had a blast and they all were so cute.

Pumpkin Patch

For one of Sydnee's preschool field trips we went to a local corn maze and pumpkin patch. Sydnee and Dawson LOVED it, they couldn't stop smiling and laughing. Dawson was being so silly that day running through the corn maze looking for Sydnee. He would always being yelling "Sydnee where are you?", "Sydnee wait for mine!" And yes instead of say "Me" he says "mine" and I think it is so cute. I just can't believe and that he is talking in mostly complete sentences. They grow up WAY TOO FAST! We had so much fun and I loved all their smiles in these pictures.

MATOR!!!

In August sometime we decided to be an adventerous family and drive the 8 hour trip to see Brandon's brother and his wife in Blanding Utah. It was a blast and way too short, but we are so glad that we went down there to see them. We sure do miss them. On the way back home that Sunday we were driving thru a small little town and saw Mator from the movie cars. We had to stop and take pictures especially since Dawson loves that movie and loves anything with wheels. The kids thought it was pretty cool and Sydnee really wanted Mator to talk back to her. She was bummed, but used her imagination anyway.

Shoshone Falls

On our way to our Nebeker Family Reunion in Hagerman back in June, my amazing sister and her family and us stopped by Shoshone Falls and had lunch. It was so beautiful and there was so much water. The kids loved it. Sorry that Brandon was kind of cut off in these pictures, but they were taken with his phone so not the best, but keepers.

Hiking and Celebrating birthdays

Back in May of this year (yes I am WAY behind) we decided to go for a little hike. It was perfect for a family hike especially with young kids because it was paved, beautiful, and not too long. We had a nice little picnic and then came home so all of us could take naps. The kids loved it and it was the perfect weather and family outing. Another great thing is it is only minutes from our apartment. we will defiantly go there again when it starts to warm up.

so Dawson's birthday was back in July and I am such a huge slacker. I feel like a horrible mother, but I do remember that I was not feeling well that day due to this pregnancy so we didn't do much. It still was a fun day and even though he really didn't know that we were celebrating his 2nd birthday he sure loved his presents.

Now on to Sydnee's birthday. She turned 4 in August and knew very well that it was her day. She was so cute and loved all the attention on her. We didn't do big party's for either of our kids this year becuase I was still not feeling well due to the pregnancy so we kind of just kept it low key, but the kids didn't care and they had a blast. Speaking of birthdays, mine was in May and Brandon's was in June and we did nothing. I felt like a horrible wife, but I was so sick that I couldn't even leave the house afraid that I would get sick where ever we went. It was however our 5th year anniversary this June and that day I actually felt ok so Brandon and I went out to eat and then went grocery shopping without children. I know way lame, but it was time well spent with my amazing one and only. Love ya babe!
